Pueraria lobata (葛根) for what?

That’s probably why it is similar to 桂枝 in being able to bring blood to the periphery, great for
- when you have an “exterior” response; and also
- when you want to bring the poison in the skin to the surface(透疹).
That’s two. There’s another three:
- 生津止渴:to hydrate. In the context of 消渴病.
- 生津舒经:for pain.
- 升津止泻:for diarrhea.
So this herb alone is great when you have diarrhea on top of exterior symptoms. Doesn’t that sound like stomach flu? Worth looking into.
