Adding Vitamin B2 with Chinese Medicine

My take on this, especially when using chinese medicine diuretics.

  • With diuretics: Diuretics increase vitamin B2 requirements. Adding B2-rich herbs, or even pumping up on b2-vitamin supplements should be considered.
  • For iron-deficient cases: riboflavin faciliates the absorption of iron supplements. So B2 is useful whether we’re pumping up on iron supplements or iron-rich herbs for problems like iron-deficiency anemia or even iron-deficiency tinnitus.
  • For the lactose intolerent: B2 deficiency problems may show up in such people, who may likely manifest yin deficient fire, e.g. dry, red, flaky skin, cracked lips, sore throat and tongue, cracks on sores on lips (cheliosis), irritated eyes, burning sensation in feet.

  3. fertility
