Balancing the pH of the foods we consume…
By admin • Jul 28th, 2007 • Category: Cardiovascular, Digestion & Elimination, UncategorizedThe idea is that for optimal health, the pH of our blood should be alkaline, with 7.4 being a preferred number. A stable pH of 7.4 will allow for good absorption of food and nutrients.
Whereas acidic blood is not good. Why? Because all pathogens are bred in an acidic environment. Almost all impurities and toxins have an acidic nature to them.
Over-acidity in the blood come hand in hand with calcium deficiency and its accompanying problems. This is because calcium is used up to bring about an acid-alkaline balance. If there isn’t enough, then the storehouse of calcium - our bones and teeth - will have to maintain supply at its expense.
